Pemberton, WA
Although small and fairly new on the viticultural scene, there’s no doubt that Pemberton is and exciting region producing world class wines, particularly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The area is littered with picturesque vineyards encircled by Karri forests. The southern latitude and high altitude means it is classified as cool climate and suited to varieties that thrive in such environs. Unusually Pemberton is one of the more unique regions that has been isolated as a great site for the Merlot grape.
Local delicacies include marron and trout, you can buy direct from a farm or catch your own in season with a license.
