Verdelho is widely grown in Australia, but it is Western Australia and New South Wales that consistently produce the best examples. Both are clean, fruit driven wines that are made for early consumption. Generally the cool grown, or earlier picked Verdelhos are leaner and finer, with citrus fruit, grassy and herb flavours.
