Congratulations Mr Mark Ford! You’ve won a 6-pack of premium quality wine valued at over $250 thanks to your delicious food-matching suggestion of whole scotch file of pork on the BBQ, served with couscous, asparagus, mushrooms and a fresh salad with spinach, tomatoes, red onion, avocado and cucumber to complement a bottle of Punt Road Airlie Bank Pinot Noir, 2008. We hope you enjoy your wine as much as we enjoyed your answer!
The August survey examined the wine brands that you associate with a particular region. It was great to see that for all wine labels examined, the vast majority of respondents (over 70%) were able to correctly match the labels with the appropriate wine region. Campbells Wines had the highest percentage (86.87%) of respondents correctly identifying their label with the Rutherglen region. They were followed closely by the Margaret River’s Vasse Felix (83.84%), then the Barossa Valley’s Yalumba (83.41%).
At Wine Selectors we pride ourselves on educating Members about Australian wine producers and regions, making this result extremely pleasing to the whole team.
