A fine example of Hunter Valley Semillon that’s richly flavoured but uncharacteristically savoury.
Established in 1983, Jackson’s Hill is a small vineyard with its own operational winery in the Mount View region of the Hunter Valley. This outstanding Semillon has been handcrafted from 100% estate grown fruit, grown on the red basalt over limestone soils of this unique vineyard. Lemon curd and fine talc aromas precede a rich palate that's uncharacteristically savoury. Full textured, it is similar to French Vouvray, making it a must with food. A brioche-like finish completes this mould-breaking Hunter Semillon.

A couple of years ago we fell in love with an Albarino white that was $100 a bottle. This is the taste we fell for! Delicious, smooth and fresh and also a little heady, this is a great wine for nibbles. We had ours with cheese wrapped in sage leaves and lightly deep fried. Wonderful way to spend the day.
