2012 Calendar wine - Josef Chromy have shown their prowess with this appealing Pinot Gris that features a layered yet fine palate with masses of pear and spice flavours. A regal match for October's King Salmon!
In just two years, Josef Chromy amassed 10 trophies and 100+ medals, making it one of the most lauded in the history of Tasmanian wine! Pinot Gris loves Tasmania's cool climate as this Old World style drop shows with its spicy lemon blossom aromatic lift and hint of lychee. The layered yet fine palate is savoury with masses of pear fruit and spice, juicy length and mouth-watering acidity.

I got this wine in the last mixed red and white case that I received. Josef Chromy has been a favourite wine maker of mine since I visited Tasmania to discover their wines. This is a perfect hot weather wine but has also suited the cool Canberra spring. Another case is on my list. Do try it. 3.5 out of 5 glugs.
