Chain of Ponds is a five star James Halliday rated winery that prides itself on using “the best fruit from the best vineyards in the Adelaide Hills”. Check out the results in their beautiful 2010 Shiraz Cabernet blend. Deep red to purple in colour, it displays dark, sweet plummy fruit on the nose. The palate is dense, deep and tight with a rich core of dark fruit. Ripe and juicy with firm tannins and good length. Great cellaring potential.
 
The Lindemans Limestone Ridge Shiraz Cabernet 2008 is sourced from 35-year-old vines on Coonawarra’s famous terra rossa strip, making it a beautifully regional blend that you don’t want to miss! It’s dense and vibrant in the glass with rich aromas of blueberry and cherry and hints of regional eucalypt. Lovely rich and dense palate, quite tarry with cassis, plum, spice and elegant supporting acidity. Great depth of flavour showing both varieties very well. Will continue to age well.
