Hunter Valley winery Ballabourneen is proud of its motto - ‘a mouthful worth savouring’. Our opinion however, is that with a Chambourcin like this, one mouthful just isn’t enough!
Though the name might be hard to pronounce, the message is simple: this vibrant purple wine is delicious, with a nose of varietal earth, rhubarb, leather and cedar. Medium weight on the palate, yet ripe with a sweet, juicy core of earthy berry fruit and a long vibrant finish.
