Irvine James Irvine Grand Merlot 2004

Continue Shopping

A cool ripening period during autumn of 2004 produced a beautifully elegant Merlot. The bouquet shows typical oak spiciness over green olive, with light chocolate, plum and raspberry tones and touches of forest floor earthiness. The ripeness shows in the lifted fruitiness, adding to the overall complexity. The palate is characterised by oak, fruit and abundant tannins with richness and velvety softness to the end. The 2004 Grand Merlot is a wine to lay down, it's quite tight now, but has all the potential to mature gracefully
