Lindeman's Limestone Ridge Shiraz Cabernet 2008

Reap the benefits of the combination of one of Australia’s most respected producers and the world renowned Coonawarra region in this outstanding Shiraz Cabernet.
 
This beautifully regional blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon has been sourced from vines that are over 35 years old on the Limestone Ridge Vineyards, which is positioned above a ridge of limestone that forms the ‘backbone’ of Coonawarra’s famous terra rossa strip. The wine was matured for 17 months in a mixture of American and French oak.
The resulting wine is dense and vibrant in the glass with rich aromas of blueberry and cherry and hints of regional eucalypt. Lovely rich and dense palate, quite tarry with cassis, plum, spice and elegant supporting acidity. Great depth of flavour showcasing both varieties very well. It will continue to age well. Try with herbed lamb roast with ratatouille.
