The Mount Langi Ghiran vineyard, set against the Great Dividing Range in the Grampians region, is one of the most isolated and unique sites in Australia. Its ideal conditions results in beauties like this triple Trophy winner!
Winner of Best Shiraz, Best Red Wine and Best Wine of Show at the Royal Sydney Wine Show 2012, it includes a significant whole bunch maceration component, building on the delicate aromatics. Matured in French oak, 25% new, 75% 2–5 year old, for 14 months.
The wine opens with blueberry, raspberry, blackberry, white pepper, vanilla, eucalypt and amaro aromas. The palate is ripe yet extremely elegant with red and black fruits lifted by white pepper spice, menthol and eucalypt. Well-judged oak and wonderful acidity carry the flavours to the long finish.
