Petit Verdot is one of the rarer varieties grown in Australia but performs exceptionally well in warm to hot climates like McLaren Vale. It is a richly flavoured variety with pronounced tannins and fresh acidity and performs perfectly when blended with Cabernet Sauvignon - as is evident in this delightful example.
It has a deep crimson colour, perfumed nose with violets and Turkish delight aromas, underscored by blackcurrant and spice with earthy nuances. It's a well structured wine rounded off by well integrated oak characters and supple tannins. A rich, ripe and dark beauty!
