Sam Miranda is often praised for getting the best out of the Italian varietals grown in his King Valley vineyard - and this youthful, early drinking style Tempranillo definitely hits the mark.
The proud tradition of Miranda Wines began in Australia way back in 1939 when Sam's grandfather Francesco, the newly arrived Italian immigrant, produced his first drop. Sam Miranda proudly carries on this tradition in the beautiful King Valley of Victoria. This fruit driven Tempranillo is made to be consumed young but could benefit from a few years in the cellar. Only a small portion of the wine spent six months in older oak, resulting in a vibrant yet dense colour with brooding dark fruits and earthy aromas that flow onto the medium bodied palate, finishing with youthful tannins and good persistence.
