Howard Vineyard Amos Chardonnay 2012

Howard Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills is named after pioneering horticulturist Amos William Howard who, in 1889, discovered subterranean clover growing where the cellar door stands today. This Chardonnay is only produced in exceptional vintages.
 
Selected parcels were barrel fermented and matured in a mix of new and old French oak.
 
Made by Tom Northcott, it opens with primary vibrancy on the nose with deluxe super ripe nectarine fruit and spicy regional herb and nettle. Flavour-packed yet still tight with vibrant fruit flowing to cream biscuit richness and perfect oak harmony.
