Hungerford Hill Shiraz 2011

After travelling the world finessing his winemaking skills, Adrian Lockhart has recently returned to the Hunter Valley and Hungerford Hill where he’s crafting world-class drops like this 2011 Shiraz.
 
This classic Hunter Shiraz is medium red purple in the glass. A nose full of spice, raspberry and iodine characters leads to a medium-bodied palate that’s showing savoury layers through raspberry fruit with a soft, earthy, textural finish. Well-judged oak enhances what is a great example of this ever-popular variety.
