Rockcliffe winery is named after the granite rock cliffs that dominate the eastern end of Denmark’s main bay. According to the Rockcliffe team, “the same granite lies beneath the winery and gives distinctive characteristics to the wine.”
Pale lemon green in the glass, this Chardonnay displays struck match, apple, peach, grapefruit and blanched almond on the nose. The palate shows layers of white peach and apple freshened by tingling grapefruit-like acidity and savoury notes of almond, lees and toasty oak.
