Stonefields Vineyard Cabernet Merlot 2012

Situated in SA’s Wrattonbully, the Stonefields Vineyard is planted on shallow Terra Rossa loams over broken limestone - the classic Limestone Coast soil profile for the production of premium Cabernet.
 
This Cabernet Merlot is vibrant red purple in the glass with an herbaceous and regional nose of intense dark berry and cassis over hints of mint and crushed leaf. The dense palate is inky with a fresh core of concentrated black fruits, ripe tannins and lifted acidity. It is still very youthful with coconutty oak in support.
