Wine Education

When it comes to getting the most out of your wine, the educative aspects are endless! The more you learn about varietal distinctions, regional influences, cellaring and food matching, the more you will enjoy and appreciate your wine. Wine Selectors offers a range of Wine Education Courses, Tastings and Vineyard Tours to help our Members improve their knowledge and understanding of wines.

For Wine Plan Members, the comprehensive Tasting Notes, which are included in every Tasting Selection, provide a concise, informative description of each wine and offer a unique insight into both the producer and the winemaking process. They also offer a delicious food match, as well as a guide to cellaring.

Regular wine tastings are held throughout the country for Members and their guests. Guided by one of our Tasting Panel Members these tastings are a great opportunity to sample a selection of Australian wines. Tasting booklets are provided and wines are available to order on the night. Always relaxed and friendly, they provide the perfect occasion to discuss your favourite drop, or to pick the brains of an expert.

We also offer our Members regular Wine Education courses, which are suitable for both beginners and wine connoisseurs. These courses are conducted by either Wine Educators, or well-respected industry figures such as our Tasting Panel Chairman, Karl Stockhausen. The calendar includes the following courses:
