Often blended away with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot is also a fine single varietal, which is evident in many of the examples we're seeing from producers like Byron and Harold.
Medium to dark red. Plum, blueberry and soft cedar notes. Palate shows layers of sweet dark fruit with spice, black pepper and bay leaf complexity and black olive-like tannins in a medium weight frame.
