It’s not often that being old and gnarly is considered a good thing. But when it comes to Barossa vines, especially when they’re planted in some of the earth’s oldest soils, it’s a recipe for beautifully plush Merlot.
In the glass: Deep, dark red.
On the nose: Super ripe aromas of black cherry, prune, bramble and plum jam.
On the palate: Mulberry and plum, ripe tannins and a velvety mouthfeel. Chocolate, earth, charry oak and a hint of smoked oyster.
