The Eagles Rest Winery, named after the Wedge-tailed eagles that soar over the vineyard. The 2014 vintage was spectacular one in the Hunter Valley. Near-perfect ripening conditions allowed for high yields without jeopardising quality. This wine comes from the highest block on the vineyard - the Eyrie.
Full, deep red. Lifted currant, plum and spice aromas. Beautifully textured, plush and elegant with a bright core of black fruit, ripe and deep tannins, savoury oak and a persistent finish. A lovely Shiraz.
