The 2012 Prize Catch Cabernet Sauvignon is only the second vintage of this limited release wine to be produced - the first was in 2001. Just 110 dozen of the 2012 were produced and the technique and extreme dedication to its making oozes from the glass.
In the winery: Regular hand plunging during fermentation ensured the soft extraction of colour, flavour and tannins.
In the glass: Bright, dark red.
On the nose: Aromas of leaf, mint, eucalypt, herb and dark cherry fruit.
On the palate: Sweet red and black fruit depth with a clean and spicy core of intense cassis and currant, fine, still-firm tannins and vibrant acidity.
