Gartelmann Merlot 2013

Hunter Valley winemaker Liz Jackson worked in conjunction with Gartelmann Wines owner, Jorg Gartelmann to produce this 2013 Merlot.
 
A youthful, clean and fresh example of the variety, this Merlot is a bright, medium red colour and offers fresh red berry fruit aromas with hints of violet and fresh herbs. The palate shows a dense yet tight core of red fruits with good varietal character and firm ripe tannins giving just the right amount of grip.
