This Irvine Merlot was named after their Spring Hill vineyard located in Eden Valley, where a portion of the fruit for this wine was grown.
Made by Jo Irvine, this Merlot is medium red in colour with a plummy nose showing notes of cassis, ribena, leather and olives. The palate is juicy with spicy layers of red berry and plum balanced by vibrant acidity, a mouth-watering texture, ripe tannins, lovely supporting oak and long, savoury persistence.
