In the heart of Coonawarra, Katnook Estate present wines with ‘subtlety, intrigue and complexity,’ reflecting their unique terra rossa terroir. Whilst already well developed, this regional Shiraz has great cellaring potential, drinking now until 2016.
Deep red in colour with a garnet rim, this 2005 example has ripe raspberry and cranberry aromas intertwined with notes of new leather, cinnamon, white pepper and cedar wood. It boasts layered red plums and raspberry, cassis, coffee and licorice flavours with a vein of pure fresh acidity and a long plush finish.
