Fruit for this Syrah came from Mr. Riggs’ Piebald Gully vineyard, situated in the coolest sub-region of McLaren Vale, bordering the Adelaide Hills. Stylish and savoury, it features a splash of Viognier.
Very deep red in colour, it has a fragrant nose of violet, spice, blackberry and wet earth. A wonderfully juxtaposed wine, it’s showing warm climate power and cool climate poise and intensity. It has excellent structure and length with saturated red and black fruits, lifted peppery spice and tannins that are evident yet well integrated.
