Frankland River is the coolest and most isolated wine-growing region in WA, and has gravel-loam soils of moderate fertility that are ideal for growing grapes and producing wines like this Merlot.
 
With inky dark fruit aromas this medium weight Rocky Gully Merlot is made by Frankland Estate’s Hunter Smith. Deep vibrant red in the glass it’s elegant with youthful red and blue fruit intensity, crunchy acid vibrancy and subtle old oak in the background. Great with rich tomato and meat-based pasta dishes.
