Salena Estate Ink Series Nero d'Avola 2013

Not only does Nero thrive in hot, dry climates such as the Riverland, but it doesn’t need much water, making it a cost effective and environmentally sound variety.
 
In the glass: Medium to dark brick red.
On the nose: Earth, mushroom and cherry with touches of crushed leaf and liquorice.
On the palate: Light to medium weight with velvety tannins, smooth texture and a spicy core of red fruits. Finishes with naturally high acidity and mouth-watering length.
