Given it’s a variety that’s widely planted along the Mediterranean coasts of Italy and France, Vermentino loves the coastal region of McLaren Vale as this Chalk Hill beauty shows.
 
This pale straw hued Vermentino opens with a minerally, earthy and savoury nose of stonefruit aromas with hints of grilled nuts and Old World spice. The bright and juicy palate has a savoury core of citrus, lanolin and tropicals with a light, earthy minerality. It has a lovely texture and good balance with clean citrussy length.
