The Crittenden flagship white, the Zumma Chardonnay affectionately reflects Zoe Crittenden’s family nickname of ‘Zoe Zoe Zum Zum’. Crafted from vines planted by Gary Crittenden in 1982, the 2013 vintage is a wine of poise and character.
In the winery: Crafted using old-world winemaking techniques such as barrel fermentation and stirring on lees to produce a richer and more complex wine.
In the glass: Pale lemon straw.
On the nose: Great aromatic complexity with spicy bees wax, honey, flinty minerality and tight tropical fruits.
On the palate: Boasts an elegant palate with a tight core of apples, pears, limes and attractive tingly acid length.
