Montgomery’s Hill is one of the wineries Dave Mavor discovered on a recent visit to Great Southern. Their wines are hard to find, especially ones that have been cellared for a number of years.
In the glass: Still youthful pale lemon.
On the nose: Stonefruit, melon, grapefruit zest and cedar oak perfume.
On the palate: Juicy, rich and mouth-watering with vibrant texture and layers of peach, melon and cashew oak, plus bright balancing acidity giving freshness. Pure and elegant with secondary notes adding complexity.
