This classic white blend from the Wilyabrup sub-region of Margaret River was crafted by renowned ex-Leeuwin Estate winemaker Bob Cartwright.
It’s made from 60% Semillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc, with both varieties fermented separately, then blended to achieve the right balance of rich fruit and herbaceous intensity. This was followed by a short maturation period in older French oak to add a textural element.
The resulting wine is pale yellow in the glass with straw, herb, talc and citrus aromas. The ripe, Semillon-dominant palate has a lemony core of fruit, vibrant acidity and a subtle herbaceous twist to finish.
