Most famous for being the home of the Dog on the Tuckerbox, Gundagai is a relatively new wine region, despite the fact that German migrants planted vines there in the 1800s. It’s building a reputation for quality Chardonnay and Shiraz, with the latter being compared to that coming out of the Hilltops regions of New South Wales.
