Do you know your Champagne from your Australian Sparkling, your Cava from your Prosecco? We’ll have all the bubbles on show as you taste and learn the difference between these stylish expressions at our Pop, Bubble & Fizz masterclass.
Hosted by Selector magazine’s Paul Diamond, this annual sell-out event will take you on a unique journey through some of the world’s most revered regions with 12 fantastic Champagne and Sparkling wines to sip and savour, along with a delicious grazing table to enjoy.
We start off with the Australian Pizzini 2018 Prosecco alongside a fantastic Italian example; Calneggia Asolo Prosecco N.V. followed by the Segura Viudas Gran Reserva 2013 Cava from Spain.
Then it’s France and Australia, with the Ruinart Blanc de Blanc Champagne NV alongside Helen & Joey Inara Blanc de Blanc and Umamu Sparkling Chardonnay 2012, plus Taittinger Brut Reserve NV Champagne to compare with the Chandon Vintage Brut 2015 and Swift Sparkling Brut Cuvee NV, a drop that topped our Tasting Panel’s Best Sparkling of 2019.
Next is a round of delectable Rosé, with Moët & Chandon Imperial Rosé NV along with Taittinger Prestige Rosé Champagne NV beside the Bay of Fires Tasmanian Cuvée Sparkling Rosé NV.
And last but not least, it’s that Aussie specialty, Sparkling Shiraz, from Bleasdale to finish a fabulously fizz-filled day.
