In the winery: Gently mixed twice a day during ferment to extract sweet tannins, aromas and colour then matured for 12 months in French oak.
In the glass: Light to medium Pinot red.
On the nose: Lifted red fruits with a touch of earth and mushroom.
On the palate: Ripe, juicy and plush with a core of strawberry and black cherry, firm stalk-influenced tannin depth and obvious cedary oak. Still a touch firm, needs time for the fruit and oak to integrate, so give it a year in the cellar.
