This Trophy and Gold medal-winning Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc blend was named ‘Claret’ as a homage to the Australian Clarets that came before it - a term which will soon disappear from Australian red ‘Bordeaux’ blends.
In the glass: Brick red.
On the nose: Fragrant with a complexing smokey character.
On the palate: Quite silky and elegant in structure. The tannins are present, but not dominating, and three-year-old oak ties the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc together in a harmonious effort.
