A powerful wine with Durif showing its full colours, but as with all wines that Alex Russell produces, it shows poise and refinement as well.
Inky dark purple. Strong coconut oak over ripe dark fruit and heady spices. Rich, deep and fleshy with plum, mulberry and boysenberry fruit, heavy toasty coconut oak, youthful acidity, surprisingly supple tannins and a long, moreish finish. Will cellar well.
