McPherson's winemaking team, led by Jo Nash, craft their wines to reveal character and complexity, in the case of their Gold medal-winning 2018 MWC Shiraz Mourvèdre, adding 5% Mourvèdre to their rich Victorian Shiraz. The palate is youthful with excellent balance, a deep core of black fruit, cedar and bay leaf notes, attractive oak spice, well-balanced acidity and a juicy yet savoury finish.
Made by Andrew Margan from a great Hunter Valley vintage, the House of Certain Views Shiraz 2018 is medium-weight with a bright mix of black and purple fruit, pepper, liquorice and five spice complexity, soft tannins and background oak. It is drinking well now and over the next year or two.
