Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2016

Varietal
Pinot Noir
Region
Geelong

Bannockburn is home to Australia’s oldest close planted Pinot Noir vines. So it’s no wonder their Pinots are considered an Australian classic.

In the winery: Batches of Pinot Noir from Bannockburn’s different estate blocks were fermented with indigenous yeast, 20% whole bunch in final blend.
In the glass: Light Pinot red to garnet.
On the nose: Spice driven with white strawberry and mushroom combining with dark cherry and white pepper.
On the palate: Elegant and long with a strawberry and dark cherry core then fennel spice, dusty herb and savoury barrel through to the green olive-like finish.
