Battle of Bosworth Ding's Shiraz 2013

Joch Boworth, the winemaker behind this powerful Shiraz was described by wine writer Max Allen as, “one of the most important organic winemakers in Australia.”
 
In the glass: Full, deep red.
On the nose: Plum, leaf, currant, prune, liquorice and cedar lift.
On the palate: Powerful yet elegant and savoury with a dark core of dark berry fruit, terrifically long flavour length and seamless persistence. The tannins are firm yet ripe giving fantastic texture. Will cellar well in the medium term yet thoroughly enjoyable now.
