Bleasdale The Powder Monkey Shiraz 2013

This single vineyard Langhorne Creek Shiraz is lovingly named after Bleasdale’s founder, Frank Potts, and his days as a ‘Powder Monkey’ in the British Navy. It’s beautiful, rich and intense.
 
Full, deep red in the glass, this rich Shiraz presents a ripe nose of dark fruits with touches of leather, milk chocolate and earth over cedary oak. Although big and intense it remains velvety smooth with sweet layers of dark berry fruit, touches of currant and prune, has a juicy and mouth-watering acid frame and the backing of smokey, clove-like oak. Completely delicious.
