Merlot is one of the hero red varieties of NSW's Orange, and this delicious example from Boydell's manages to be concentrated, yet very approachable. Lip-smacking.
Bright garnet. Expressive aromas of dark berries and fruits, liquorice, dark chocolate and exotic spices. Medium-bodied, yet packed with layers of plum, mulberry and cherry, with hints of fresh herbs and sweet spice, velvety tannins, and good length.
