Winemaker Rebecca Willson, of the Willson family-owned Bremerton in South Australia’s Langhorne Creek, takes great pride in the Old Adam Shiraz, which is a benchmark example of regional Shiraz that’s been ranked alongside Penfolds Grange.
Its dense red black colour is the first indication of its depth. The nose features a magic intensity of black fruits with porty richness, Christmas cake, cigar box and vanillin oak aromas. Rich and intense yet fresh and vibrant, the palate has a solid core of black fruits and cola/mocha depth throughout. It shows minty acidity, excellent tannin grip and deluxe oak handling on the long finish.
