Lagrein is an ancient grape variety from Trentino-Alto Adige in north-eastern Italy, and offers a unique alternative to wines like those made from Cabernet Sauvignon.
Inky dark red. White pepper, cedar, blackberry and liquorice aromas. Rich, ripe and powerful, with a massive core of black and blue fruit, plenty of cedary oak, spicy tannin foundation, and hints of earth and tobacco on the dry finish. Well-made.
