Brokenwood Shiraz 2011

Brokenwood’s 2011 Shiraz crafted by winemaker Stuart Hordern that’s a wonderful representation of the medium-bodied style the Hunter Valley does so well.
 
In the glass: Dark red with a brick hue.
On the nose: A heady mix of earth, leather and spice with chocolate and toasty development.
On the palate: Medium weight yet shows good depth of fruit with a plush texture and velvety layers of red fruit and savoury liquorice-like notes. Bottle development provides toasty complexity and elegant persistence.
