Durif isn’t one of Australia’s most well known or popular varieties, however it has developed a very loyal following.
Inky dense red black in the glass, this Brown Brothers Limited Release Durif 2012 has a fresh nose with sour cherry and African violet aromas reminiscent of a tar and roses style. As you’d expect from the variety, the palate is a blockbuster powerhouse of black jammy fruits showing lashings of concentrated cassis - not for the faint hearted, it’s immense and age-worthy.
