Bill and Wendy Lawson, owners of Catherine Vale Vineyard, created their own vineyard from scratch. Located between Broke and Bulga in the Broke Fordwich sub-region, it produces small parcels of quality fruit from six different varietals including Arneis, beautifully expressed in this Catherine Vale Emmi’s Arneis 2012.
Made by John Hordern this delightful Arneis is medium yellow gold in the glass with a savoury, earthy nose and hints of pear and floral aromas. Earthy, minerally and savoury, it is almost European-in-style with subtle stonefruit and citrussy acidity.
