Catherine Vale Semillon 2005

This wine shows that smaller producers such as Catherine Vale can match the big guns of the region with their mature releases.
 
In the glass: Golden yellow.
On the nose: Developed nutty, toasty nose with a citrus background.
On the palate: Quite full-flavoured and generous yet with still-fresh lemony acidity driving the deep core of fruit. A very good example of an aged Hunter Valley Semillon with grilled nut, beeswax and lanolin complexity and a creamy mouth-feel.
