2011 provided ideal growing conditions in South Australia’s Eden Valley to produce wines of immense quality and this delicate yet intense single vineyard Riesling is no exception. It’s a wonderful example with fantastic cellaring potential.
Château Tanunda is an icon of the Barossa, proudly producing wines for an incredible 120 years. Winemaker Tim Smith continues to enhance their reputation for quality, presenting wines like this bright, pale lemon coloured Riesling. Its aromas of talc, spice and wet stone lift from the glass. The delicate, yet intense palate, presents wonderful notes of lime, florals and varietal minerality. It’s still very youthful and can be enjoyed now or cellared until 2019.
