Once the home of opera singer Dame Nellie Melba, Coombe Farm in the Yarra Valley is still owned and operated by her descendants, the Vestey family. Just like Melba, their wines are full of class and elegance as you’ll discover in this Pinot Gris.
Red apple aromas with a dusting of cinnamon spice lead to a palate that’s ripe and juicy, quite full bodied and fruity with good varietal intensity. Pure with great texture, balance and persistence, it’s generous but really clean and without the oiliness sometimes evident with the variety.
