Taking it’s name from the original cattle station that occupied the area in the 1800s, the Coppabella Vineyard is the largest in Tumbarumba and was originally established by the region’s founder, Ian Cowley, to supply grapes to other wineries.
Pale to medium gold in appearance, this Chardonnay opens with a dusty, leesy European-style nose with peach and butterscotch depth and subtle oyster shell minerality. The palate is vibrantly fruited yet cleverly layered and complex with nutty lees and savoury oak striking a harmonious balance. Minerally acidity extends the finish and chalky phenolics add delicious savoury dryness.
